Built for the

you get
Propulsion, structures and flight electronics for launch vehicles, satellites and high-altitude platforms — drawn, analysed, built and qualified in the United Kingdom.
Start a programme with a technical review, not a sales call
Book a review with an engineerAS9100 Rev D approved since 2012, audited annually and without a major finding since 2017.
Vibration, thermal vacuum, EMC and hot-fire testing all happen under our own roof.
Median twelve weeks from preliminary design review to a qualified flight unit.
engineers, technicians and analysts across six sites in the UK
Four product lines,
one engineering system
The same analysts, the same shop floor and the same test bays serve every programme we run. It is why a thruster and a flight computer leaving Filton carry the same paperwork and the same margins.
Thrust, from 0.5 N to 45 kN
Bipropellant upper-stage engines, green monopropellant reaction control and Hall-effect thrusters for station keeping.
FULMAR · SKUA · TERNPlatforms and primary structure
The HALYARD bus family, machined and bonded structures, harnesses, deployables and separation systems.
HALYARD 200 / 400Flight computers and software
Radiation-tolerant MARLIN computers running the SEINE flight stack, with GNC and FDIR developed in house.
MARLIN · SEINERuggedised airborne subsystems
Power, actuation and mission electronics qualified to MIL-STD-810H for crewed and uncrewed platforms.
LONGSHOREHALYARD‑400
A 180 kg-class platform designed around one idea: put every interface on a single machined core so payload integration stops being a negotiation. Nineteen have flown. None has lost a mission to a platform fault.

Test as you fly.
Then test it again.
Nothing leaves the building on the strength of a simulation. Every unit is run through the environment it will meet, at margin, with the same instrumentation set we used at qualification.
-
R-01
Analysis
Structural, thermal and CFD models built by the team who will sign the qualification report. Correlated against test, not against each other.
-
R-02
Qualification
Protoflight or full qual, run at Westcott and Filton. Random vibration to 14.1 g RMS, thermal vacuum from −95 °C to +125 °C, EMC to ECSS-E-ST-20-07.
-
R-03
Acceptance
Every flight unit, every time. Hot-fire for propulsion, 72-hour burn-in for avionics, dimensional inspection against the released model.
-
R-04
Flight support
Our engineers sit in the control room for first burns and commissioning. Anomaly review starts within the hour, not the week.
Twenty-three roles are open.
Most involve tools.
Stress engineers, propulsion technicians, a harness lead and four graduate places starting each September. If you like being able to walk to the thing you designed, this is a good building for it.
